One of the most prized features of advanced spreadsheet users is the ability to rotate text to conserve on column space. Google Sheets supports this function and it is easy to use.
A feature request at the top of my list for Google Sheets was the ability to rotate text within a cell. It’s now available and it is very easy to use.
Simply click the selected cell containing the item to be rotated and select Format > Text rotation from the menu, then choose one of the following three options:
- Tilt up
- Tilt down
- Stack vertically
- Rotate up
- Rotate down
- Set the angle of rotation
